Located in Northeast Missouri, Paris is the county seat of Monroe County. Our current population is 1,220 as of the 2010 census.

At the City of Paris we pride ourselves in the daily contribution to individual and community well being. We believe that by sharing common values we can increase the opportunity of each individual in the community. We wish to grow our community's industry and job opportunities while still maintaining our small town values.

We strive to provide our community with the best service possible. We work hard to make sure Paris is a safe, friendly, beautiful place to raise a family. Our staff is readily available to help our customers with any problems or concerns they may have. We take pride in our City and hope our Residents do the same.

Economic Sales Tax Grant Application

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JUNE 1, 2020

The City of Paris offers an Economic Sales Tax Grant to land owners and businesses for improvements to buildings and real property. Preference is given to those in the downtown area. Successful applicants can be awarded reimbursement of up to 50% of the total project, with a maximum of $5,000.

For more information, call City Hall at 660-327-4334 or you can download the application. Applications are due in the City Superintendent's office by March 31, 2020 June 1, 2020.

Reminder – Yard Waste pickup will be starting back up Friday, April 3rd and will continue on the FIRST and THIRD Friday of each month. Although we do not require limbs to be placed in bags/boxes, we do ask that you bag up any and all leaves.

Attention! All flowers and containers that you want to keep, need to be removed from Walnut Grove Cemetery before April 1. They can be replaced on or after May 10th. Starting this year, there will be a second date for flower clean up. Clean up will be the week of Labor Day. Replacement can be anytime thereafter. Thank you, City of Paris

Thank you to TPNB for the generous donation for flags at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Each Friday, the employees at the local bank pay to wear jeans. The bank will then match that number and donate to an organization.

On Monday, May 18, 2020, the Middle Fork City Street Bridge opened to the public after being under construction since mid January.

The original bridge was built in 1955 as a 109.9 foot, one lane, 4-panel pony truss bridge. After several floods and servicing approximately 200 cars daily, it was time for a change.

Located on East Madison street, a block from Dollar General, the new bridge can now allow 2 cars at one time and is expected to service individuals for many years to come.
