Help Wanted – Position Available

The City of Paris is now taking applications for a clerk-typist position. The clerk-typist works under the direction of the office manager and is responsible for duties as assigned. The duties will include maintaining records, filing, preparation of utility bills, collection of utility fees, directs complaints to the proper department, gives information to the public as requested and comply with the Municipal Code for the City of Paris. The successful applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of office machines, basic computer and accounting skills, ability to make decisions, maintain effective working relations with fellow employees and the general public and follow orders. The offer of employment may be conditioned upon successful completion of both a medical examination and drug screen. The salary will be based upon qualifications.
