Located in Northeast Missouri, Paris is the county seat of Monroe County. Our current population is 1,220 as of the 2010 census.

At the City of Paris we pride ourselves in the daily contribution to individual and community well being. We believe that by sharing common values we can increase the opportunity of each individual in the community. We wish to grow our community's industry and job opportunities while still maintaining our small town values.

We strive to provide our community with the best service possible. We work hard to make sure Paris is a safe, friendly, beautiful place to raise a family. Our staff is readily available to help our customers with any problems or concerns they may have. We take pride in our City and hope our Residents do the same.

The Christian Church has been designated as the primary tornado shelter by the City of Paris in case of an emergency.

Please be aware and prepared for bad weather this evening. Our men are watching it closely to be sure we don't experience any outages but as you know, Mother Nature has a mind of her own. If an outage occurs, please be patient as our men will be working as fast as they possibly can.

A few of the City employees partnered with the Paris Rotary to help plant trees around town as a way to celebrate Arbor Day. The trees that were planted ranged from Oak and Maple trees to beautiful flowering trees.

Please try to minimize the amount of grass clippings discharged onto city streets. Rain washes the clippings down the street where they often clog storm sewer inlets, or build up and clog culverts. Clogged inlets and culverts result in street and yard flooding.
