It is a 120 bed skilled nursing facility licensed by the Missouri Division of Aging and the Department of Mental Health and owned by the taxpayers of the Monroe County Nursing Home District. Manor participates in the Medicare program and residents who qualify may receive
Medicaid assistance through the Division of Family Services. You are welcome to inquire regarding the condition of your loved one at any time. We ask that this information be received from the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Social Service Designee or Charge Nurse responsible for care. Nursing and Social Services Manor residents maintain an active and independent lifestyle; however, when residents need additional support, be it physical, medical, or personal, our staff is available at all times. Residents are helped in responding to life's changes while effectively maintaining continuity in their lives. Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses supervise Certified Nurses Aids on duty 24 hours a day and provide supportive services to Manor residents. Services

Activities Our activity staff have been trained in the skills of social needs, reality, remotivation, speech guidance, etc. We have activity schedules and a variety of recreation and entertainment to meet the needs of every Monroe Manor resident. For example, outings, sing-alongs, carnivals, family dinner, movies and popcorn, church services given weekly by local ministers from our community just to name a few. Physicians Dr. Eric Barnes is our Medical Director and visits our facility on a regular basis. Beauty Salon Our beauty salon is open three days a week. Sarah Bates, a licensed beautician in our community, comes in and offers a full range of services. Dietary Manor residents gather in one of three dining rooms for three meals a day. Which dining area depends on each individuals level of need. There is extra food at every meal, with substitute items available to suit individual preferences. Snacks, fruit, coffee and tea are available between meals. If you desire to bring food into a resident please leave it with the dietary department where it will be served at meal times or upon request at snack time. Therapy Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy are contracted services on an as needed basis to assist our residents in reaching their full potential. Housekeeping / Laundry and Maintenance We are very proud of how clean our facility is. The Manor provides daily cleaning services. Laundry is gathered daily and returned the same day. Maintenance keeps our facility up with preventive maintenance on a daily basis. Residents Monroe Manor is more than just a nursing home.
