2007 Fall-in-to Paris Festival
Photo Contest Rules

Photos are needed for future advertising & promotions.

In addition to all the food, entertainment, information and competitions, the Fall-in-to Paris Committee is holding a Photo Contest for the Saturday, October 13, 2007 Festival. Photos must be taken of a festival activity during the day of the event.

Who can enter:
Any amateur photographer may participate in the photo contest.
How to enter:
Mail or deliver your hardcopy print or digital photo(s) to:
Paris Area Chamber of Commerce,
208 North Main St. Paris, MO, 65275,
or email to chamber@parismo.net.
Include Name, address & phone number.
Include caption, title or description of photo(s).
Rules:
Photos must be of an October 13, 2007, Fall-in-to Paris Festival activity.
No more than 3 entries per person will be accepted.
If the photo is in digital format submit the highest quality image possible. Do not watermark, add decorative borders or place any other distinguishing marks (i.e. name, copyright) on the image. Zipped or compressed files will not be accepted.
If the photo is an actual print, do not write on the back of a photograph. Note that low-quality printouts of an image do not scan well. If you can print the image, you would do better to email it or deliver to the above address on a CD.
All photos must not have been digitally altered in any way other than necessary sharpening, burning, dodging and cropping.
Because contestants will be remain anonymous during the judging, a print or image cannot possess identifiable information.
Submitted photos become the property of the Fall-in-to Paris Committee and may be used by the committee for the purposes of advertising and promotion.
Entry deadline:
Photos must be submitted by 11:59pm, Wednesday, October 31, 2007.
Judging:
Judges appointed by the Fall-in-to Paris Committee will choose the winners.
Judging will be based on subject/theme, composition & technical & image quality.
Judges’ decisions are final.
Announcement of Winner:
The winners of the photo contest will be announced by November 15, 2007. The Winners will be contacted by phone or mail.
Prizes may be claimed at the address listed above from 9am to 1pm, Mon-Wed.
Prizes:
Only one (1) prize awarded per person.
1st prize: $100.
2nd prize: $75.
3rd prize: $50.
4th prize: $25.
Total Prize Money: $250.
Up to 8 additional photographs will receive honorable mention.
